Cara graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London in 2012, with a superior Patisserie diploma and a certificate in cake decorating. Having worked in the industry as a pastry chef for several years, she decided to follow her passion for baking and start up her own bakery in January 2017, named after her grandmother, Gladys May. Cara specializes in fondant, sugarpaste and buttercream and hand crafts every element of her cakes, making each one special and original.
Gladys May Cakery is based in Marlborough Road, Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Cara has a purpose built studio for her cakes, built separately from her house, which has a 5* food hygiene rating.
